Paul R. Abelow
Principal and Founder
Paul has been in the finance, insurance and marketing business for the past 30 years. His focus for the last decade has been servicing the legal community, specializing in financing for pre-settlement funding, structured settlements and legal malpractice insurance.
Paul founded Barr Cash, a private placement company, with the intention of providing a safe and easy resource for attorneys to rely on. With this notion laying the groundwork and vision for his business, Paul has been trusted to service a large number of P.I. attorneys and firms throughout all of New Jersey.
Kristen Jerome
COO
Kristen has dedicated the last 10+ years to a career in sales, marketing and business operations. She has been responsible for managing sales and marketing teams at Country Clubs and Entertainment Venues with a strong focus on customer service. She is successful in increasing business revenue, creating and implementing marketing initiatives and establishing and maintaining working relationships with clients, sponsors, vendors, etc.
Kristen’s well-rounded experience allows her to lead our sales and operations team with extreme professionalism and care for our clients.
Gabriella Saiani
Operations & Sales Manager
Gabby has 5+ years of experience in the personal injury field working with doctors, attorneys and their clients. She has worked at multiple radiology facilities where she built a background in customer service, medical authorizations, sales and office management. With this knowledge, Gabby has been able to transition into the business of Pre-Settlement Funding with ease.
As our Office Manager, Gabby’s role is to communicate with attorneys, firms and their clients while ensuring that the funding process runs smoothly.
Sandra Abelow
Senior Sales Manager
Sandra has been in the sales and marketing industry for the past 30 years. She has been responsible for running sales team, customer support, trade shows, and merchandising. She has successfully worked in sales in the financial, banking and commercial industry. Sandra has also owned and operated retail stores.
As a Senior Sales Manager Sandra focuses on increasing the understanding of our services, insuring personal injury attorney’s and firms are comfortable with the entire process.
Jonathan Koles
Chief Underwriting Officer
Jon has been practicing law in New Jersey and New York since 1981 and is a partner of Koles & Burke, LLP. He works primarily in plaintiff’s personal injury actions, including motor vehicle accidents and premise liability cases.
He was President of the New Jersey Association for Justice and the Hudson County Bar Association. He is a past Chairman of the New Jersey Association for Justice’s Political Action Committee and a member of the Hudson County Bar Foundation. He has been a Master in the Hudson and Essex County Inns of Court. He is also member of the American Association for Justice and the Florida Justice Association.
With his extensive knowledge and expertise, Jon oversees our Underwriting Department and is able to quickly and easily assess cases.
Joseph DeLuca, Esq.
Surgical Underwriter
Joe received his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2005. He started his career as a judicial law clerk and quickly found his place as a litigation associate at a reputable personal injury firm in New Jersey. Currently, Joe’s focus is NJ PIP Litigation, where he personally handles all PIP matters from start to finish. His work, commitment and reputation speaks for itself, as he has recovered millions in wrongfully denied PIP benefits for his clients.
With experience in both PIP litigation and personal injury claims, Joe is able to use his vast knowledge to intelligently underwrite our pre-settlement and surgical funding cases.
Alisha Honoré
Florida Sales
Alisha is our Florida broker. She is currently in law school at Florida International University College of Law. When she is not in class, she is on the road visiting firms throughout the state of Florida scheduling lunches, happy hours and establishing great relationships.
Alisha focuses on introducing attorneys to the services that Barr Cash is able to provide them and their clients, specifically low rates and a quick, effortless funding process.
